DDSG Blue Danube website with Sanity CMS and Meilisearch

Intro

We transformed the DDSG website into a more intuitive and engaging digital experience, making it easier for users to explore offers, find the right cruise and complete bookings. The redesign improves usability and SEO while creating more opportunities for upselling and putting seasonal offers in focus.

Filter

We introduced smarter filtering to make the full range of cruises easier to explore and more relevant to different needs. Beyond date, price and departure location, users can now filter by theme with a single click, helping them quickly find the experiences that suit them best.

We brought more content directly onto the detail page, allowing users to explore key information without leaving the page. A clear, compact structure makes even a wealth of content easy to scan and understand at a glance.

The new website delivers exactly what we set out to achieve: a single digital platform where marketing, sales, and customer service come together, rather than being spread across multiple systems. Guests find the right cruise faster, and the booking journey finally feels coherent — and with the new CMS, we can manage content ourselves much more flexibly and use it more deliberately for upselling. Compared to before, this has given us a real leap in efficiency in day-to-day content management — a genuine step forward for our marketing team."

Functn didn't just execute our relaunch cleanly from a technical standpoint — they thought from the start about what actually matters for our business: better discoverability, fewer drop-offs in the booking process, and a system that grows with us. Just as important to us was future-readiness — from accessibility to being well-positioned for upcoming AI applications. The collaboration was straightforward and solution-oriented — exactly what you want from a partner on a project of this scale.
